Who, What and Why

Hi, my name is Łukasz, and I do IT stuff for a living.

I have over 15 years of experience in the IT industry - from software architecture and development, through system administration, people and project management, to IT support. I am a big fan of modern web development technologies. For over five years, I was actively supporting Open Source projects. I wrote my first computer program in BASIC for a Commodore 64 microcomputer when I was eight.

Over the years of a professional and personal journey through the IT world, there are many situations when you need to write down and store for future reference some solutions, how-tos, or cheat sheets. As a New Year resolution, I decided I would start doing it in some more organized why. Foremost just for myself, no pressure, no plan, no scheduled posts. On the other hand, it is available online, ready to be shared with anybody who wants to read it or find it useful.

I hope that it would not be yet another IT or technology related blog, at least not only related to modern technology. You could also expect some texts dedicated to electronics and some pop-culture - TV series, movies, books. Maybe even some articles about soft skills, management, etc.

This site would not exist without Hugo, a high-speed and flexible static website generator, which I use to build HTML documents. To format that HTML structure, I use Bulma as a foundation for that process, and a little JavaScript for reactiveness. There would be no comments or any other user-generated content.
